A panorama is created when two or more images are stitched together to create one larger image. The benefits include being able to show considerably more of a subject than could be achieved with a single image (up to 360 degrees), as well increased resolution, since multiple images are being overlapped. However, panoramic images can be challenging to capture and stitch together. The results though, can be spectacular.
